Coking coal producer Gujarat NRE Coke today reported a 27.11% dip in net profit to Rs 21.05 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2010.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 28.88 crore for the October-December quarter of the previous fiscal, Gujarat NRE Coke said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
However, the company's total income jumped to Rs 438.84 crore in the third quarter from Rs 312.47 crore in the year-ago period, the filing added.
Shares of Gujarat NRE Coke were trading at Rs 55.20 on the BSE at 1019 hours, down 0.36% from the previous close.
