Gujarat NRE Coke is planning to set up sponge iron, pig iron, steel making and rolling mill units in the Kutch district of Gujarat."The combined project cost is estimated to be more than Rs 250 crore," the company said in a release issued to the BSE today.The company is also planning to set up a plant at Dharwar (Karnataka) to produce 4,00,000 metric tonne per annum (MTPA) of coke. After completion of the project, the total capacity of the company would be more than 1 million MTPA, the release added.
