Tiles and bath products firm H&R Johnson is aiming at emerging as a Rs 3,000-crore entity in the next four years on the back of its newly-launched kitchens and wooden flooring segment, while it also seeks to expand its dealership network.

The company is planning to ramp up the exclusive retail chain format for the new kitchens division.

"This year, we plan to focus on the newly-launched Kitchens and Wooden Flooring divisions. Our plan is to achieve a turnover of Rs 3,000 crore by 2012-13, up from Rs 1,106 crore in 2008-09," H&R Johnson India Ltd Managing Director Vijay Agarwal told PTI.

He said the company is looking at opportunities in the eastern and northern regions, besides putting emphasis on increasing its dealership base.

"We have (at present) 1,200 dealers across the country. We shall be setting up the distribution channel for the kitchens division by appointing exclusive franchisees. The target is 50 during the current year and a total of 200 within the next three years," he said.

It is also in the process of upgrading the showrooms of its top dealers, besides setting up exclusive stores for the kitchens products.

"We have currently three outlets under the Johnson Kitchens format and the aim is to have 50 stores by 2010," Agarwal said.

H&R Johnson also operates two other exclusive retail formats — House of Johnson (25 stores) and Tile Bazaar (21 stores).

Agarwal said that while the organised tiles market in India is estimated at Rs 8,800 crore, the sanitaryware market is of around Rs 1,700 crore.

The company has four brands — Johnson, Marbonite, Johnson Ceramics International and Endura — with a product portfolio of ceramic floor and wall tiles, vitrified tiles, bath products including bathroom fittings, shower enclosures, sinks and shower panels, sanitaryware, kitchens, laminate and engineered wood floors.
