Chandigarh based Hartek Power Pvt Ltd, one of India's fastest growing Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) companies with expertise in executing high-voltage turnkey substations and power infrastructure projects, has bagged an order from Azure Power for providing electrification, automation and substation solutions for solar power projects of 113 Mw.

These projects, spread across five states, including Punjab, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Karnataka, will be executed at a cost of about Rs 35 crore.

Hartek Power will provide a turnkey solution post-inverter covering the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the power plant electrification and automation systems as well as pooling stations. The projects include eight substations of up to 132 Kv to connect more than 100 Mw of solar energy to the grid, the most crucial of them being a 50-Mw solar plant in Andhra Pradesh with a power evacuation of 132 Kv.

"Our experience of executing turnkey projects across the country and our in-depth knowledge of the Indian business landscape positions us as reliable partners in the power sector. The very fact that leading solar plant developers have chosen us for their projects over many other big players reflects our commitment to quality and timely execution of projects. Known for uncompromising standards of safety, we employ world-class project management techniques. Renewable energy is one of our focus areas, and we want to make a difference in connecting solar energy to the grid through integration of our power system capabilities," said Hartek Singh, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), Hartek Group.

The company's expertise in executing solar projects across the country and its understanding of the market dynamics of the power sector have turned it into a natural partner of multinationals by way of significant collaborations, technical know-how support and licence agreements. Hartek Power is currently executing various other substation orders worth nearly Rs 60 crore.
