Electrical goods maker Havells India today posted 44.55% increase in its net profit at Rs 125.72 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 86.97 crore for the same period of previous fiscal.
Net sales of the company rose to Rs 1,166.05 crore for the second quarter, as compared to Rs 958.12 crore during the same period of previous financial year, Havells India Ltd said in a statement.

Havells India Joint Managing Director Anil Rai Gupta said performance in the first half reflects good response from customers to company's new products. This along with lower advertisement costs has resulted in higher contribution at operating level.
"Despite ongoing economic conditions, all business segments have shown good growth and we look forward to consistent growth through the year," Gupta added.
Scrip of Havells was trading at Rs 732 apiece on the BSE in late afternoon trade, up 4.61% from its previous close.
