Global office furnisher and workspace designer Haworth today announced its tie-up with Denmark-based furniture design company Fritz Hansen for distribution of the Danish company's collection in India.
The US-headquartered company's Indian arm - Haworth India - would be the sole distributor of Fritz Hansen collection, which would have 6-10 initial ranges in the country.
Haworth is planning to capture a "substantial" portion of the estimated $7.9 billion Indian furnishing market, of which less than 20 per cent is organised.
"The partnership is intended to offer a one-stop solution for interior design projects and elevate the design industry in India. To begin with, we would be introducing six of Fritz Hansen's chair collection, including Swan, Egg, Ant, Oxford and PK-22," Haworth India Managing Director Vyanna Reddiar told PTI.
A series of designer table ranges including Attitude, Little Friend and Plano would also be introduced.
He said the company would also be introducing one of its new chair lines 'Wink' in the country.
"We have, presently, three premium grade-A range of chairs including Look, Tea and Sage. Our company has grown more than 10 per cent during the last fiscal and we are aiming to maintain the double digit growth in the coming years," Reddiar said.
