Engineering and construction firm Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) today said it has bagged a Rs 608.39-crore contract for reconstruction and completion of dry dock and associated North and South Wharves at Naval Dockyard in Mumbai.
It has received a Letter of Award from Director General Naval Project (MB), Hindustan Construction Company said in a statement issued on Monday.
The company is required to complete the project within 48 months as per the contract, it said.
Being an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contract, the company would be look after designing, engineering, including all civil, electrical and mechanical works, it said.
The contract work involves diaphragm walls, cofferdam, underwater concreting, dock walls, pumping systems, ventilation system, sub-station and emergency gen-sets, it said.
The permanent dock systems include caisson gates, dock-arm, hauling-in systems and cargo lifts.

The company has already executed several prestigious projects namely multi-berth dock at Haldia (W.Bengal), Trawler wharf at Chennai port, oil tanker terminal at Cochin and new oil jetty at Kandla.
Shares of the firm closed at Rs 138.40, marginally up from the previous close on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
