Engineering and construction firm Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) today said it has hived off its IT division Highbar Technologies Ltd in order to focus on the technology infrastructure industry.
Highbar Technologies has emerged as an end-to-end solution provider for the IT infrastructure industry, with in-depth experience in information technology, HCC said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
"As a business our aim is to be a key player in the domestic untapped market of IT enabled solutions for the infrastructure industry. We would like Highbar Technologies to be the partner of choice for all infrastructure companies looking to enhance their operations and output through the use of technology," HCC Chairman and MD Ajit Gulabchand said.
The Highbar team comprises of professionals having experience in infrastructure business with IT, the filing added.
Apart from domestic markets, the company would also target business opportunities in international markets such as the Gulf region, Europe, South East Asia and the Far East, it said.
Shares of HCC were trading at Rs 120.55 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, up 3.61 per cent from previous close.
