Hindustan Construction Company today said its profit after tax for the second quarter ended September 30 grew by 71.55 per cent at Rs 19.90 crore, from the corresponding period a year ago. The company's revenues increased by 27 per cent at Rs 689 crore in the quarter under review, from Rs 549 crore in the same period last year.
Ajit Gulabchand, chairman and managing director, HCC, said, “We are pleased to announce strong numbers for Q2. Despite changing economic conditions, we have witnessed growth in all segments of our business. The strong financial performance, improved margins and significant growth in the order book showcase the client confidence in HCC.”
The company plans to strengthen its core business further and provide momentum to new initiatives, HCC Real Estate and Lavasa.
