HCC Q2 net zooms 179%, wins Rs 983cr ordersBS Reporter / New Delhi October 26, 2007Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) today reported a 179% increase in net profit at Rs 11.63 core for the second quarter ended September 30, 2007 when compared with Rs 4.17 crore in Q2FY07.Turnover increased 29% to Rs 549.05 crore from Rs 425.66 crore in Q2FY07.HCC improved its operating margins to 11% in Q2FY08 from 9.4% in the corresponding period last year. The company's order book now stands at Rs 9,601 crore. It has submitted tenders worth Rs 4,559 crore, which are currently under evaluation.HCC said that the tenders for which its has pre-qualified stands at over Rs 12,377 crore by its evaluation.
