Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) reported a 200 per cent jump in net profit in the fourth quarter of 2004-05 to Rs 46 crore from Rs 15.31 crore in corresponding period of the last fiscal. |
Turnover rose 36 per cent to Rs 525 crore (Rs 385 crore). The board has recommended a dividend of Rs 6 per share. The order book position as on 31st March 2005 is the highest so far, at Rs 5,381 crore. During 2004-05, HCC won seven domestic contracts valued at Rs 2,341 crore. It also secured a project in Saudi Arabia worth Saudi riyals 130.7 million and a Rs 28 crore build-operate-transfer project near Pune. |

For 2004-05, the company's gross income from operations was up 34.6 per cent to Rs 1,577 crore from Rs 1,171 crore. Its profit before tax increased to Rs 75 crore (Rs 60.5 crore). |

Net profit for the year was up 107 per cent to Rs 74 crore (Rs 35.7 crore). |
