ICT systems integrator HCL Infosystems registered a fall of 32 per cent in its year on year profit after tax (PAT) for the second quarter ended 31 December 2008. PAT stood at Rs 55.25 crore for the quarter while in the year ago period, it was at Rs 81.41 crore.
Revenues were also down 4.9 per cent at Rs 3,140.06 crore, from Rs 3,305.08 crore in the year ago period.
The company recorded a foreign exchange loss of Rs 9.57 crore in the quarter.
Sequentially, net profit fell 16 per cent while the revenues shot up by 0.47 per cent. The board has declared an interim dividend of Rs 1.50 a share, at the rate of 75 per cent.
The company's shares were closed at Rs 77.05, up 0.92 per cent, on the BSE today.
