HCL Technologies, India’s fourth-largest information technology (IT) services company has bagged a multi-year infrastructure management services contract from US-based automaker Ford Motor Company. “The value of the five-year contract is estimated to be close to $100 million,” people with the direct knowledge of the development told Business Standard. It is understood that HCL bagged the contract when it came up for renewal this year.
Earlier, TechTeam Global, a Michigan-based IT services company had been proving IT infrastructure management and support service to Ford. “We have not finalised any action at this stage and would not like to speculate,” a Ford India spokesperson told Business Standard in response to an email query. On being asked, a spokesperson of HCL Technologies declined to comment.
HCL Technologies is quite strong in the infrastructure management services (IMS) space. IMS is the fastest growing service line of the Noida-based company, accounting for about 28 per cent of its topline.
