The net revenue of the company stood at Rs 236.7 crore, exports rose 19 per cent to Rs 184.1 crore from Rs 154.8 crore, a company release said.
HEG plans to add 20,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) of graphite electrodes to its present capacity of 60,000 TPA. The additional capacity would become operational by the last quarter of 2009.
Power is also a key resource in the graphite production process.
The company is in the process of implementing its expansion plan of its captive power generation capacity by 33 MW at an investment of Rs 90 crore, the release added.
The company's revenues for the power segment stood at Rs 27.7 crore. It is also focusing on high-grade value added Ultra High Power (UHP) products.
