HeidelbergCement net profit at Rs 27 cr

HeidelbergCement India today reported a net profit of Rs 27.05 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2009, while it had a net profit of Rs 10.05 crore in the same period previous fiscal.

"The results for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 include the figures of Indorama Cement and HeidelbergCement India that have been amalgamated into and with the company.

The scheme was operative with effect from April 1, 2008, therefore, the results for the period are not comparable," HeidelbergCement India (earlier Mysore Cement) said in a filing to the BSE.

Total income stood at Rs 216.16 crore in the latest quarter ended September, however, it had a total income of Rs 136.68 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal.

Pursuant to the amalgamation, the name of the company has been changed to HeidelbergCement India from Mysore Cement with effect from April 16, 2009, the filing added.
