Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training, a unit of Frankfinn Aviation Services (P) Ltd, is coming up with an institute in Amritsar which will offer a one-year diploma course in aviation, hospitality and travel and tourism. The Amritsar centre will start its course in April. This will be Frankfinn's third centre in Punjab, after the ones in Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Chandigarh.

Talking to Business Standard, the managing director of the Amritsar branch of Frankfinn, Jasbir Chatha, said, "The evolving aviation industry is offering new career opportunities for people who wish to make their career as an air hostess or flight steward on domestic and international airlines. Moreover, as Amritsar is touched by 44 flights a week and the aviation sector is growing at a phenomenal rate, there is vast potential in this field also."

He further added that there is scarcity of qualified manpower in the hospitality sector in Amritsar, with the opening of this centre, we hope to supply the requisite manpower also. Moreover, a lot of hotels are coming up in Amritsar, so there is huge potential for the trained manpower in the hospitality sector in Amritsar only. He added that he has further plan to open such centre in Patiala also.

At present, the institute has 45 centres operating all over the India. The opening of this centre would be a boon to the localite aspiring candidates, as earlier, they have to travel all the way to Jalandhar to pursue the course. One of the spokespersons of the Amritsar branch said," Now with the opening of this centre, the number of aspiring candidates would also increase. He further added that many of the localite who is already pursuing the course in Jalandhar Branch, has enquired for migration purposes."

He further added," We have edge over players as Frankfinn's students selected as Air Hostesses and Flight Stewards are more than 8 times of any other Academy or Institute in India. Frankfinn is the only institute in the line operating all over India with the largest Centre network. It has about 45 centres across India. Thus, one has a wide choice of training centres as per one's convenience, he added.

He said, "Frankfinn provides 100% job assistance for 18 months after completion of the course. As Frankfinn is the only institute operating all over India, no other institute in the line can match it in providing post-training job assistance services."
