Herbal products for diabetics

Alopa Herbal Healthcare, a herbal and nutritional products company, has announced plans to launch two products "" Aloprot and Aloprot D, in Bangalore on Saturday. They can be nutrition supplements for diabetics.
 
Speaking to reporters, company founder Dr K M Ishwar Nambiar said that the first year of operations saw the company achieve a turnover of Rs 4 crore. The company aims to register a turnover of Rs 10 crore in the current fiscal.
 
Nambiar expects a ten-fold increase in the company's turnover by 2010.
 
The company has drawn up an aggressive expansion plan to launch ayurvedic spa and medical centres across the country. Alopa had already launched its online marketing in order to target the herbal healthcare segment in the US, South East Asia, besides South Asian countries. The company has so far released 26 products.
 
Nambiar said since the company is well-established in South India, it plans to expand to other parts of the country within the next three years.
 
According to him, Alopa successfully conducted 20 clinical trials in the first year of operation and was specialised in taking care of metabolic disorder. The disorder is responsible for rheumatism, liver disorder, digestive problems, high cholesterol, diabetes, infertility and obesity.
