Hero Honda Motors has posted a 11.28% increase in net profit at Rs 810.47 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 when compared with Rs 728.32 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004.According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total turnover increased to Rs 7,562.68 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 from Rs 5,997.47 crore in FY04.The company reported a 2% decline in net profit at Rs 207.11 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2005 as against Rs 211.30 crore in Q4FY04. Total turnover increased to Rs 1,976.09 crore in Q4FY05 from Rs 1,724.44 crore in Q4FY04.The board has recommended a dividend of 1000% i.e. Rs 20 per equity share of Rs 2 each for the financial year 2004-05.
