Continuing its last week's rally, two-wheeler major Hero Honda Motors today surged by over 6% on the BSE after the company declared a 3,500% interim dividend of Rs 70 per equity share of Rs 2 each.
The record date for the entitlement of interim dividend is April 21.
The scrip, which opened on a strong note today, rose by 6.24% to touch a month's high of Rs 1,945.25 on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
In a similar fashion, the stock went up by 6.44% to Rs 1,949.80 a piece on National Stock Exchange.
On the volume front, over 13 lakh shares of the company have changed hands so far today on the two bourses.
Meanwhile, BSE index Sensex at 1316 hrs was trading 184.91 points down at 19,201.91 level.
