For the full year ended March 2006, the company posted 123 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 1,472 crore from Rs 661 crore last year. Net sales was up 76 per cent to Rs 3,877 crore from Rs 2,202 crore. |

With the company's new smelter at Chanderiya going on stream, the company's refined zinc production for the year was 2,84,000 tonne, 34 per cent higher over last year. |

Lead produced during the year was 24,000 tonne, including 4,300 tonne from the recently commissioned Ausmelt plant. |
