Hinduja Foundries, a part of the Hinduja Group, today said operations have resumed at its Ennore plant near here following a disruption a couple of weeks ago due to Cyclone 'Laila'.
Operations were disrupted due to the cyclonic storm which lashed Tamil Nadu recently and the plant was shut due to heavy flooding since May 19, the company had said earlier.
"The company's Ennore unit has resumed operations," Hinduja Foundries Ltd said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The plant has a total production capacity of 1.43 lakh tonnes of grey iron casting and 3,000 tonnes of aluminium gravity die-casting.
The firm makes grey iron and aluminium gravity die-casting for automobiles, industrial engines, power generators and tractors.
