Passing on the benefit of the excise cut on big cars, auto major Hindustan Motors (HML) today reduced the prices of its partner Mitsubishi's vehicles in the country by Rs 6,000.

Japanese car maker Mitsubishi is present in India through a joint venture with HML.

The price cut will take effect from July 7 and the company has brought its Pajero, Outlander and Montero cars under the gambit, HML said in a statement.

"HML is passing on the entire benefit to the customers who can expect a Rs 6,000 cut in Pajero, Outlander and Montero prices effective July 7," it said.

Following today's announcement, Pajero will cost Rs 20.64 lakh (old price Rs 20.70 lakh), Outlander will come at Rs 20.69 lakh (old price Rs 20.75 lakh) and Montero will come at Rs 41.88 lakh (old price Rs 41.94 lakh).
