Hindustan Oil Exploration today said its net profit for the second quarter of FY09 has increased by 72.38%, to Rs 12.86 crore over the corresponding period year ago.
Total income rose to Rs 23.03 crore for the quarter under review, from Rs 20.72 cr in the same fiscal last year, HOEC said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
For the six month ending September 30, the company had a net profit of Rs 26.45 cr, against Rs 19.13 cr last year.
Total income rose to Rs 47.81 per cent for the quarter under review, from Rs 41. 87 in the same period year ago. Further, Hindustan Oil Exploration Company (HOEC) board today appointed Mukesh Butani as an independent director on the board, the statement said.
