Hindustan Prefab Limited (HPL)--a government of India enterprise--has come under the scanner for allegedly failing to complete a housing project it was awarded in the Chhattisgarh capital.
Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) lodged a complaint with police against the company for failing to complete the construction of 29,000 houses under the Jawahar Lal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission. The company had bagged the contract worth Rs 65 crore.
The RMC lodged a written complaint with the Gol Bazaar police station against HPL for failing to complete the project and abandoning incomplete construction works, RMC Commissioner O P Chowdhary said.
