HMT opens tool room centre in Kabul

HMT-International Limited, wholly owned subsidiary of HMT Limited, said that it has started operation of a common facility and tool room centre (CFRC) at Pul-e-Charkhi industrial park in Kabul.
 
The tool-room centre, set up under the aegis of India's rehabilitation programme in Afghanistan, was formally handed over by Rakesh Sood, ambassador of India in Kabul, to M M Sediq, minister of mines and industries, government of Afghanistan, said a HMT release.
 
The CFRC would catalyse growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the region apart from imparting relevant skill sets, it said.
 
HMT-International has executed the comprehensive project covering supply, installation and commissioning of machines and equipment and also training Afghan technicians both in India and CFRC Kabul, it said.
