This time around, the fair will lay special emphasis on products from Jammu and Kashmir, according to the fair's organisers Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH).
"J&K is a state where specialised kind of floorings and furnishings are produced which are typical of their craftsmanship. There will be separate pavilions of products from J&K region," EPCH Executive Director Rakesh Kumar said.
"Though products of J&K are already being exported, yet volume of export has not been substantial. It is hoped that with the special emphasis on display of J&K in Home Expo India, the products of the state will receive extra attention from the visiting overseas buying community," he added.
European Union nations like France, Italy, UK, Netherlands, besides countries like the US, Canada, UAE, Japan and Switzerland are the major markets for exports of home furnishing, floorings, home textiles, furniture & accessories, houseware and decoratives.
