Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) said it is not averse to set up its second plant in Haryana, in the country.
"We are not averse to Haryana," HMSI's Operating Head, Sales and Marketing N K Rattan said here.
The 100 per cent subsidiary of Japan's Honda Motor Company has its plant at Manesar in Haryana, with a capacity of 1.5 million (15 lakh) units.
Rattan said the first plant has reached its 'maximum' capacity. The company is currently engaged in deep study on setting up a second plant in India.
A formal announcement on the second plant -- investment, location and things of that nature -- is expected by next month-end, he said.
At present, Honda products in India include Activa, Dio & Aviator in scooters, and Unicorn, Shine and CBF Stunner.
