The automaker had said earlier it would sell around 90,000 cars in 2008-09 in the country.
"Todays market conditions are bit unpredictable. We would review our sales target of 90,000 units for 2008-09," Honda Siel CEO Masahiro Takedagawa told reporters here today on the launch of its Eighth Generation Honda Accord.
On the company's upcoming plant in Rajasthan, which is being set up with an overall investment of $230 million, he said it would be ready to make certain engine components by September and would begin to roll out cars by the end of 2009.
"Our new plant would be able to make some engine components by September, while the full assembly line would be ready by next year," Takedagawa said.
Honda would also import its hybrid version of its sedan Civic in India by the middle of June.

Besides, the company also plans to introduce its maiden small car here towards the end of next year.
Honda today launched the Eighth Generation Honda Accord in India, eight months after the global launch of the car.
The car would be available in three variants Accord 2.4, Accord 2.4 Elegance and Accord 2.4 Inspire, priced at Rs 16.49 lakh, Rs 16.79 lakh and Rs 17.39 lakh respectively (ex-showroom) in Delhi.
The new Accord comes with 80 mm more length and 25 mm more width with eight per cent improvement in fuel efficiency. It also has six airbags.
The company has sold 16,000 units of Accord in India since its launch in 2001.
