Cloud-based hotel management system provider Hotelogix has raised $5 million (Rs 325 million) in a funding round led by Vertex Ventures to accelerate product innovation and market expansion beyond India. Accel Partners, and Saama Capital also participated in this round.
Hotelogix co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Aditya Sanghi said: “We have created an impressive customer base of group hotels in India, replacing popular on-premise property management system. With this, we have gained a strong foothold in Indian market that has set the stage for us to now invest aggressively in this segment to scale up operations.”
The Bengaluru-based company, he claimed, was set to become the largest cloud-based PMS player in India.
The company had earlier raised a total of $3 million (Rs 195 million) in funding in two different rounds from Accel Partners and Saama Capital.
On international expansion, co-founder Prabhash Bhatnagar said, “We plan to expand our operations in Thailand, and make it the hub for Southeast Asia. Funding will be used to strengthen our product’s DIY capabilities that would help us penetrate further into regions, including South America, North America, and United Kingdom, targeting independent hotels.”
The company offers its cloud-based PMS to hotels in over 100 countries. It assists hotels to streamline operations and grow booking revenues.
“The number of interfaces needed by hotels to OTAs, channel managers, search engines, and review sites is continuously increasing, which necessitates the need for hotels to have a cloud-based PMS solution. We look forward to work with Hotelogix as it expands their leadership in this market,” said Ben Mathias of Vertex Ventures.
