Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) has posted a 270% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 1,674.02 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 (FY07) as compared to Rs 452.07 crore in FY06.According to the release issued by the company to BSE today, total income (net of excise) has increased to Rs 94,680.63 crore from Rs 75,542 crore in FY06.On a stand-alone basis, the company has posted a 287% rise in net profit at Rs 1,571.17 crore in FY07 as against Rs 405.63 crore in FY06.Total Income has rose to Rs 89,725.77 crore from Rs 71,255.49 crore in FY06.For the quarter ended March 31, 2007 (Q4FY07), the company has posted a 72% decrease in net profit at Rs 549.54 crore as compared to Rs 2,013.41 crore in Q4FY06.During the quarter, total income increased from Rs 20,943.15 crore in Q4FY06 to Rs 22,045.94 crore.
