Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) is planning to pump in Rs 290 crore to expand and upgrade retail facilties. The plan includes setting up 425 fully automated fuel stations."The company has already placed orders totalling Rs 100 crore for automated retail outlets called e-fuel stations," S P Chaudhry, executive director (retail) of HPCL, said after the launch of a co-branded card with American Express.HPCL will invest Rs 120 crore to convert 600 more retail outlets to branded fuel stations called Club HP stations."Another Rs 70 crore will be pumped in to set up 600 petrol pumps in rural areas, branded as Hamara pump," Chaudhry said. "Our outlets will wear a new look in the next few years," he added.
