Chinese telecom equipment maker Huawei Technologies, which is believed to be facing security hurdles for supply to India operators, today said it will set up a new campus, at an investment of $100 million at Whitefield here.

"We have obtained all the required clearances and NOCs," company Director (Human Resources) L Pius Maria Prasad told reporters here today.

The new facility could seat around 3,500 employees, he said, adding that an investment of $100 million has been made on the new campus, which is expected to be completed within two years of the work's commencement, he said.

Additional investment on the campus would be made depending on the requirement, he said.

Speaking on the company's hiring plans, Prasad said that it is looking at adding 300-400 employees to its current strength of 2,000 this year. He said that the attrition level, which stood at 6.5 per cent last year, was as per industry trend.
