HUL reorganises home and personal care business

Samir Singh and Priya Nair will be part of the management committee of HUL

Hindustan Unilever, the largest FMCG company in the country, reorganised its home and personal care business into two separate businesses to focus on their individual growth drivers. With this the company announced that Hemant Bakshi, executive director for home and personal care will be appointed executive vice-president for Unilever Indonesia.

The new roles of separate executive directors for personal care and home care have been given to Samir Singh and Priya Nair. Samir is currently vice president - personal care lead at South Asia cluster for parent Unilever and Priya is vice-president laundry at HUL. Both of them will be a part of the management committee of HUL and their appointments are effective 1 October.

"I am pleased to welcome Priya and Samir to their new roles. Both bring with them rich and diverse marketing and business experience in Unilever," said Sanjiv Mehta, CEO and managing director, HUL Priya joined HUL in 1995 and has worked in roles across marketing, customer development and CMI. Samir joined HUL in 1997 and has worked in various roles in HUL and across the regional and global Unilever organisation.
