Hutch rolls out mobile shops

Hutchison Max Telecom today launched `mobile Hutch shops' in India, a one-stop solution for all customer needs and also provide information on wheels.
 
Asim Ghosh, managing director of Hutchison Essar on Thursday said, "The mobile shops will reach remote areas and service those customers who otherwise have to travel several miles to a retail fixed Hutch shop. These mobile shops will supplement the existing retail customer service centres."
 
These mobile shops which cost Rs 30 lakh per unit has been designed exclusively by Amit Paul of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.
 
Based on a franchisee model, the company has planned to roll out 30 mobile shops across all circles by end -2004, of which four units will be in Gujarat and two in Mumbai about 30 mobile shops said Sanjoy Mukerji, CEO, Fascel Limited.
 
Ghosh said, "our customer will now be able to walk in to any o the mobile Hutch shops parked at key locations across towns and cities in India and get their queries answered and problems solved. They can look forward to getting the same services that they would at any of the premier Hutch shops spread across the metros. We plan to increase the spread of mobile Hutch shops over the next year across all circles that we operate in."
