With Hyatt roped in by L&T to manage their property at Chandigarh, it marks the entry of another Goliath scribbling its presence in the Chandigarh hospitality arena.
L&T realty which is coming up with a 27-acre property in Chandigarh, having mix of retail commercial and hospitality is understood to have recently signed an agreement with Hyatt resorts and hotels, to manage the upcoming project.
According to L&T officials, the hotel would have 200 well-appointed rooms, expansive banquet area and multiple meeting rooms, health club and night club
Hyatt Hotels Corporation headquartered in Chicago which operates its under various brands is understood to have chosen ‘Hyatt Regency’ for the city. Hyatt Regency basically caters to needs of the needs of conventions, business travellers and resort vacationers.
The US hospitality player is not the sole players which is eyeing Chandigarh. Marriot International, another US player is all set to operates their first property in Chandigarh.
The five star properties being developed by Uppal group is expected to come up by November 2010. The ‘JW Marriot’ hotel coming in Chandigarh would offer 165 rooms boasts of ergonomically designed and spacious rooms.
