Hyundai introduces new Eon variants, costlier by Rs 7,000

The country's second largest maker Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) today said it has introduced three new variants with additional features of its latest small car Eon, which will be costlier by up to Rs 7,000 from the existing versions.

The three new variants of the Eon are 'D-Lite+', 'Era+' and 'Magna+'.

"The idea behind the new variants is to offer extra value to our customers," HMIL Managing Director and CEO HW Park said in a statement.

Priced at Rs 2.98 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) 'D-Lite+' is equipped with air-conditioning and power steering.

The existing D-Lite with AC option is priced at Rs 2.91 lakh.

On the other hand, 'Era+' will have front power windows and central locking as additional features and is priced at Rs 3.12 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi ) as compared to Rs 3.11 lakh for the existing variant.

The top end 'Magna+' comes with a two-din audio system with USB among other features at a tag of Rs 3.42 lakh (ex- showroom Delhi). The existing Magna price starts at Rs 3.37 lakh.

The company further said the new variants will also be available in LPG options which are priced around Rs 27,000 higher.

The LPG variant that forms part of Hyundai's Blue Drive (eco-friendly) range comes with factory-fitted separate petrol (32 litres) and LPG (34 litres) tanks that guarantees enhanced safety to customers with a two-year warranty, it said.
