i-flex Solutions net at Rs 105.6 cr
Growth in license sale, change in revenue accounting policy and rise in other income more than doubled i-flex Solutions net profit for the first quarter ended June 30, 2008 to touch Rs 105.6 crore from Rs 36.7 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.
Revenue for the firm —providing banking products, solutions and services — was at Rs 631.8 crore for the quarter up 23 per cent from Rs 513.3 crore last year.
3i Infotech net up 44%
Focus on domestic market and inorganic growth buoyed 3i Infotech’s net profit to grow by 44.1 per cent for the first quarter ended June 30, 2008. The company’s net profit was Rs 58.10 crore for the quarter from Rs 40.3 crore for the corresponding quarter last financial year. Revenue for the quarter at Rs 471.62 was up 78.5 per cent from Rs 264.2 crore for the same quarter last fiscal.
Power brands boost Emami net profit

FMCG company Emami recorded a 12.94 per cent growth and 17 per cent growth in net profit and turnover respectively for the quarter ended June 2008. The good show was because of higher demand for its power brands.
Its turnover stood at Rs 123 crore, an increase of 17 per cent over the corresponding previous quarter, while net profit stood at Rs 11 crore, up 12.94 per cent over. Profit before tax rose by 14 per cent at Rs 13 crore.
