ICICI Bank has posted a 39.29% rise in consolidated net profit of Rs 1,559.76 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 1,119.82 crore in the corresponding quarter the previous year.

The bank's total Income rose 8.11% from Rs 15653.31 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 to Rs 16922.73 crore for the quarter under review.
On a standalone basis, ICICI Bank posted a marginal rise of 3.41% in net profit at Rs 1,272.15 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1,230.21 crore for the year-ago quarter.
The bank's total income rose from Rs 10,338.36 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 to Rs 10,350.62 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2008.
