ICSA Q2 net down 20% at Rs 38 cr

ICSA (India) Limited, a provider of embedded technology solutions and infrastructure deployment services for the power sector, recorded a 19.86 per cent drop in net profit to Rs 38.48 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2009, as compared with Rs 48.02 crore in the same period last year. Revenues increased 11.3 per cent during the quarter to Rs 311.12 crore from Rs 279.51 crore.

Company Chairman and Managing Director G Bala Reddy said there had been a slowdown in the embedded products business in the last couple of quarters.

Revenues from this segment declined 40.35 per cent to Rs 113.52 crore from Rs 190.32 crore though the infrastructure segment contributed Rs 192.98 crore as compared with Rs 89.19 crore, up 116.36 per cent.

The company has an order book worth Rs 1,725 crore in the transmission and distribution sector, a release said.

Its stock settled at Rs 179.2, down 5.19 per cent from the previous close of Rs 189 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
