Idea Cellular today reported a 259% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 308.52 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2007 when compared with Rs 85.93 crore in Q1FY07.According to a release issued to the BSE today, total revenue increased to Rs 1,477.64 crore from Rs 902.26 crore in Q1FY07.The company, on a stand-alone basis, has posted a net profit of Rs 193.31 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2007 as against Rs 30.07 crore in Q1FY07. Total revenue increased to Rs 908.83 crore from Rs 597.47 crore in Q1FY07.The board of directors today approved a proposal for the formation of a wholly-owned subsidiary for the possible transfer of passive infrastructure.
