 "The appellant (HSAL) cannot be permitted to treat the OTS as a bonanza in reserve, which it may unilaterally encash at any point of time," the judgment stated.

The company lost an opportunity, for which it has itself to blame as it failed to pay Rs 3.26 crore as per the offer made by IFCI in March this year, the court said.
