The Paradeep unit of Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Ltd (Iffco) has achieved its highest ever production of 15 lakh tonnes of fertilisers in 2009-10, surpassing all previous records. Besides this, the unit has also achieved the highest ever production of phosphoric acid at 4.62 lakh tonnes and highest sulphuric acid production of 14.28 lakh tonnes. M R Patel, executive director of Paradeep Unit said, “Iffco has generated of 3,12,420 MWH of power in the financial year 2009-10. IFFCO has exported 24,778 MWH power to the state grid at a time when the state is starving for power”.
