iGATE Patni, an integrated technology and operations brand providing business outcome based solutions, has secured a five-year contract for delivery of SAP-based operational, maintenance and support services to Serco's existing and prospective customers.
The exclusive contract commenced in December last and will be in place until 2015, a company statement said today.
The partnership will include services such as support desk operations, ticket handling and user profile management.
It will cover SAP ERP applications such as HR, payroll and financials. Serco will offer iGATE Patni's expertise as part of a white labelled support and maintenance service to clients and under the terms of the contract will not provide SAP services via any other outsourcing partner.
Serco, an organisation that provides SAP services to around 20 local authorities and several commercial organisations, has decided to outsource its SAP services so that it could provide fixed cost contracts to its customers, who often experience troughs and peaks of usage throughout the year.
