Malaysian construction company IJM Corporation Berhad has invested Rs 3.2 crore in setting up the country's largest commercial readymix concrete batching plant in Hyderabad. |
The company has invested about Rs 380 crore on various projects in India so far. Readymix equi-pments major Schwing Stetter India Private Limited is the supplier of the batching plant. |

Addressing a press conference, Mah Teck Oon, director (industries division), IJM Corporation Berhad, said: "The plant that has been set up at Bachupally village in Hyderabad has an installed capacity of 120 cubic metre per hour. This batching plant is totally computerised with automatic loading and concrete delivery facilities," Oon said, adding, "It will basically be used for commercial projects and we are looking at working with companies like Shapoorji Pallonji for future projects." |

Apart from this, IJM is also looking at large-scale investments in the state and elsewhere as well. It has bid for the Hyderabad International Airport and irrigation projects in the state. |

"We have submitted our pre-qualifications for these projects and hope that we get the deals," NG Chin Meng, executive director of IJM (India) Infrastructure Limited, said. |

"In India, IJM has successfully completed projects like Mumbai-Pune expressway, Chennai bypass road and Tada-Nellore National Highway 5," Meng said. "We are also setting up a township in Kukatpally in joint venture with Andhra Pradesh Housing Board," he added. |
