Imperial Servcorp, a joint venture between K Raheja Corp of India and Australian multinational Serve Corp, is planning to set up seven more serviced office facilities at various locations across the country in the next two years, said Imperial Servcorp country head, Taranviir S Kaur.

At present, the six-year-old company has two centres —  in Mumbai and in Hyderabad together with a floor space of 50,000 sft — offering both serviced and virtual office packages. While the Hyderabad facility is running at 99 per cent occupancy, the Mumbai centre has an occupancy rate of about 97 per cent.

“We are planning to open serviced offices in cities like Bangalore, Gurgaon, Chennai and Pune, besides coming up with three more centres in Mumbai. Each of these centres will have office space of around 15,000 sft,” she told mediapersons here on Thursday.

Serviced offices offer facilities like fully-furnished office space, meeting rooms, board rooms and video conferencing, which can be used on a pay-per-use basis.

“It is believed that the office realty segment in Hyderabad and other major cities was the most hit in 2013 as occupants deferred leasing activity due to the overall slowdown and political uncertainty. However, this pall of gloom has not impacted the serviced and the virtual office business of Imperial Servcorp as it has managed to increase its sales considerably in this fiscal,” Kaur said.
