"We have plans to establish educational institutions in the field of healthcare, medical and technical within next four to five years which entails an investment of Rs 1,000 crore," Ind-Swift Ltd Chairman Gopal Munjal said here today.
"Out objective is to provide world class holistic education to meet industry demand for fully trained and skilled professionals," he said.
Initially, the Group would pump in over Rs 200 crore for setting up a school of pharmacy, providing education in aerospace engineering, hotel management and mass communication in Punjab in phased manner.
"We have acquired 40 acres of land at Rajpura in Punjab where we would run our educational courses," he said.
This year, it would build its School of Pharmacy in Rajpura and run a four year degree programme in B.Pharma, approved by All India Council of Technical University and affiliated to Punjab Technical University, he said.

The Rs 1,100 crore Group would also set up a healthcare education centre in Himachal Pradesh.
"We have submitted our proposal to HP government for starting courses in healthcare and medical tourism," he said.
In addition, the group is also keen to set up a technical university in Haryana.
