India Cements today reported a two per cent growth in net profit at Rs 136.94 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2009.
The cement maker had a net profit of Rs 134.27 crore in the September quarter of last fiscal, India Cements said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.Total income rose to Rs 994.92 crore during the July- September quarter of the current fiscal, from Rs 929.64 crore in the year-ago period.
For the half year ended September 30, India Cements posted a net profit of 281.22 crore, a growth of 1.74 per cent over the year-ago period.
Total income during the six month ended September rose to Rs 1,955.17 crore, from Rs 1,805.88 crore in the last fiscal.Shares of India Cements were trading at Rs 114.20, up 1.47 per cent over its previous close on the BSE.
