India Cements has posted a net profit of Rs 222.65 crore for the quarter ended September 2007 (Q2FY08). Its profit was Rs 117.32 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.The total income for the reporting quarter stood at Rs 896.09 crore as against Rs 591.50 crore in July-September 2006.The accounts for the reporting quarter factor in the transactions of erstwhile Visaka Cement Industry. Hence, figures for Q2FY08 are not comparable with those of previous quarters which do not include transactions of Visaka Cement.
