India Infoline, Saksoft, Sona Koyo quaterly results

India Infoline today reported a 49 per cent increase in its net profit for the quarter ended March 31 at Rs 24.61 crore, even though its income from broking activities reported a "not-so-impressive" growth following the weakening of equity markets. The consolidated profits after tax rose to Rs 24.61 crore against Rs 16.53 crore for the same quarter last year. The firm's total income stood at Rs 143.57 crore, up 67 per cent from last year's Rs 85.70 crore, which comprised heavy growth in income from life insurance distribution and online media research.
 
Saksoft net profit grows 18.26 per cent
 
Saksoft Ltd has posted a net profit growth of 18.26 per cent at Rs 2.59 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007, as against Rs 2.19 crore in the corresponding period last year. Net sales grew by 179 per cent to Rs 35.93 crore from Rs 12.89 crore for the corresponding period last year. For the full year ended March 31, 2007, Saksoft's net profit fell by 13.5 per cent to Rs 8.01 crore compared to Rs 9.26 crore in the previous year.
 
Sona Koyo profit jumps 61 per cent
 
Sona Koyo Steering Systems, the flagship company of the Sona Group, today reported a 61 per cent jump in profit after tax at Rs 16.2 crore in the quarter ended March 31, as against Rs 10.1 crore for the corresponding period last year. Gross sales of the leading maker of steering systems soared 83 per cent to Rs 214 crore in the three months ended March 31, as compared to Rs 116.9 crore for the same period in 2006, a company statement said.
