Indian cos entering US to get support

The Build Operate Transfer (BOT) Group, a US-based business advisory services company, has launched 'India Calling' "" a service to hand-hold Indian companies to enter the US markets.

According to president of the BOT Group, Hari Rao, as part of the service, companies are assisted right from commencing market research, sales staffing, legal framework, accounting management and compliance issues cost effectively.

With India Calling, companies are able to sell almost immediately with a team of sales professionals with relevant experience and the counsel of senior business executives without running into million dollar overheads, he added.

"The service is tailor-made for each company based on their industry, size, budget and objectives in the US market," said Rao.

"Until now, companies had to take the initial services of legal and accounting firms who have limited understanding of the problems of selling to US clients or sales personnel with limited ability to set-up or manage US operations," he added.

BOT Group is working with a number of Indian companies who have shown interest in using this service and expects that by the end of calendar 2005, it would have assisted a number of Indian companies in making the Atlantic crossing.

"Having sold to US companies for over a decade at a time when India had almost a negative rating as a vendor, I believe that for companies setting up base now, life will be a lot easier," he said.
